Crazy Drifting event and Auto-xing Over all a Sick collection of BMW'S.
EUROWERKZ took BEST TEAM Trophy + Emilio took 2nd Place Best e46 AA S/ 330
and M-Crazy (Adam) took 3rd Place for Best e36 for his Esquiss M3.
Congrats to rest of the Winners and Thanks to Bimmerfest Crew for Setting up a Awesome Event. :D

actually, bimmerfest has no ties with the dealership it used to be at. jon schaffer used to work at cutter motors, so the show was there. but he left cutter, and bimmerfest was at a showgrounds in sb. much larger venue

I actually liked the doors. Not for everyday but look good on a show car.

What I did not like about the car was, it was an auto and like I said before. It sits higher then my 4X4 Ford Pick-up.

If it were located somewhere slightly mid-way on the east coast, it would have been significantly bigger imho.

As one of the judges, i WILL say this: the caliber of cars that were shown are extremely high. Several cars were tied in points and multiple visits and tiebreakers occurred among us.

EVERYTHING counts, fit and finish was a tiebreaker. You could have a great body kit, but if there are drips and drabs...orange peel...or panels didnt align...points were not awarded.

It may seem like nit-picking, but when the overall competition was so high, the little things count that much more.

Glad everyone had a good time. I know I did.

but the vert is put togeather rather well everything is fit right on the car, when you judge a show you have to not take into account your own opoion on what is nice and not nice the vert is super clean and alltough not to everyones taste prob scored high in all the catogorys simple as that. Bimmerfest East was originally voted to take place in D.C. back on DTM a while ago, but then the organizers thought it would be a good idea for meet-goers to be able to track their cars, which lead Bimmerfest to be in the middle of nowhere, Pennsylvania. Good intentions were there, but it didn't work out. So, I say thanks to the organizers of Bimmerfest East NYC, for trying to make up for that and organizing a great time for everyone there.

The car that won was nice but way overdone and way to tacky for me.The entire engine compartment had Carbon Fiber on almost everything except the valve cover. The owner said that she would not replace the valve cover as no "carbon fiber" version say "BMW Motorsport" on it :). The owner use thin "real" carbon fiber to cover everything in site. Even the windshield washer tank and lid was wrapped with this carbon fiber in what the owner says in her "artistic shape". When the owner was finished with her "artistic"work whatever small pieces (aka scraps) of carbon fiber was left were placed in various parts of the engine bay. :cool

If anyone has a pic of the engine bay, please post it.

Here is a pic of the interior. Notice the animal print rear seat covers and the black "fur" front seat and armrest cover. :nono

But the lady won first place, bet she is happy as hell. There is no telling what this car will look like at next years meet. A lot of "carbon fiber" modding can happen in a year :D

BTW, since I had to drive up to Philly to get temp tags so I could be legal, I made it to the Colliseum like 5PM. I thought maybe I could catch the tail-end of the show but by the time I got there there were only about 20 cars left & the guys there didn't seem very nice. When asked how was the show one guy said "it was what it was"

I'll be ready for next year. Great pics BTW, makes me feel like I didn't miss it alltogether.

I thought the same thing when I first saw it so I went over and checked what suspensiont he guy was running. He definetely did not have air suspension, it was completely stock. Pretty sad to see, it looked even worse in person.

For the guys that wanted to know more about the orange lambo doored bimmer.. I met the guy a while ago when I bought rear seats from him.. The car started out as a 95 325is with a green exterior and tan interior. He never planned to do anything to the car till he stumbled across a widebody kit pretty cheap from someone... The lambo doors and the paint was done by a freind of his so he got it done real cheap as long as he entered shows. He had the car done just a few weeks ago so he didn't have any mods other than cosmetic appearance. When I saw him at bimmerfest he planned to have an m3 engine swap and suspension in the near future. And the reason it was so high was because of the rear widebody. He couldn't lower it untill the rear fender work was finished. I was never a fan of lambo doors till i saw his car. I really think his car looked good other than the suspension and it being automatic. Overall he's a real nice guy and im looking forward to seeing it finished.

heh well i could lose the brake booster or even run a hydroloc one from an e28, once im in search of more power and if i dont start club racing instead of just timetrials and hill climbs next spring then hell with it a twin screw might be fun. swaped e30's are awsome alot of power in a rough around the edges well handeling car it will let it be known when your driving it wrong on the track and that makes it super fun

the widebody e46 was with the azevedo motorsports crew. i talked with the kid for a while but i cant remember his name. he took 1st place for the e46 category. and that m5 would have been perfect with the rms supercharger that was in the white one. i saw the blue m5 at sema in jersey and he had a huge screen in the trunk, but i guess he took it out. anyway, sweet car

If he cannot lower the car to where the kit fills in the tire gap, I can say he got ripped off. It looks nasty.

Looking at the car you can see it sits high. I think he can easily do a 2" drop and have no problem. The lowest part of the car is 4-5 inches off the ground.

The door sills had Ac Schnitzer on them.

I either saw the Hamman style wheels or a Hammon sticker somwhere on the car.

First of all I like to say I am a proud owner of a metallic black 2002 4.4. fully loaded. The X5 is flawless as is. I must admit the doors LOOKS good but is it really practical? The X5 has a suspension to die for. If you must lower your car for increased handling, why not buy a 540? The design and engineering at BMW are bar none so why would you take it upon yourself to change it and de-value your car? Lets face it, when it is time to sell, an OEM car is much more desirable than an aftermarket one. On an investment note, why not take that money and invest it. That's what I did, and now I'm worth over half a mil. I'm 27 by the way. Now ask yourself, does a gold plated trophy that'll eventually sit around somewhere collecting dust sound good or does does half a mil sound better? Any intelligent person would choose the money. BTW, with all the money you could have made, you wouldn't have gotten those skanky hoes as models. Word from the Wise.
