I think old school is the E21 and the 2002's and anyother BMW's before that. They still make parts for the E30's but not the E21's or the 2002, well for the most part that is.

I still LOVE to drive my 5er even after I bought the M3. There is something special about this car. The feel, the joy, the time and money that went into it :buttrock

Quimis, your car is looking dead sexy. I love the Euro look you went for.

I lost the Calypso e36 in my sig to a deer this summer, but the good news is that I now have an E30. The interior is mint and I'm still trying to work on the paint to get it looking sexy.

What happened to the e34 M5 idea? Any pics of the new car?

gato

Hey Todd, I didn't end up firming up the deal on the e34 M5. The seller wanted 20k and wouldn't budge at all from that.

I ended up buying a 1989 325i (Zinnoberrot) E30 which I found and bought the day before I went back to college. The car has 87k miles, the interior is in great condition and the paint is just okay. I've kind of been holding out on posting pictures, because I wanted to get the paint looking nice. I will get some pictures up of it soon.

I also bought a motorcycle. Its a 1971 R50/5 with 22k miles. I bought it a couple days before I bought the E30. I guess I just had BMW fever after I realized I wouldn't be getting the M5. The previous owner of the bike did a complete engine rebuild because the bike was sitting in a barn for 10+ years. The outside of the bike hasn't been restored yet and I was hoping to polish it up and see what I could do for the paint before I posted pictures. I've got this picture of it though from a website I made for school.
