Do they have that wiring in the Bentley? There is a supplemental wiring/electrical book out there for the e36 also. You gonna be at your house for a while? Email me your address, I'd like to grab that fog if that's cool!

lemme know

you've got mail...and I don't yet have a Bentley...that's my next purchase - probably father's day...I keep delaying because everyone is just so helpful here that most of my questions are answered before I need a manual:D

OK, as with most complicated wiring diagrams, nothing is in one spot. This seemingly easy task ended up taking me 45 mins to find all the connections, but once I got started, I wasn't going to let this go. Besides, it's always interesting to pore over the diagrams for fun ideas :)

Center console telephone connector (X400)

Pin 1 red/wht = unswitched 12v
Pin 2 brn = gnd
Pin 3 blu = wire from the generator (not sure what this does...maybe only 12v when car is running)
Pin 5 vio/wht = switched 12v
Pin 6 wht/brn = radio signal (phone probably tells the radio to be quiet)

Hope this helps,
Bernman

VERY COOL...so if I understand:
I have one 12V unswitched power source that I could say hookup to a remote garage door transmitter opener and maybe use the other 12V switched for an in car cooler/heater?

Thanks Bernman for grabbing the tech specs on the wires!
