What are you going to do to make the 275s fit?

if this is a "real race car" why in the world are you even going with a staggered setup?
Get 17x9s all around and run 255/40/17s. or get 245/40/17 Hoosiers which are really about 260 or so in width but a short sidewall.
Wait a min.. what am I saying. You have a $30k budget. Flare the fenders front/rear. Get some 17x10s and run 275s all around.

big brakes wont clear 17" and trust in real race car $30k is not enough for flaring and 17x10s

It doesnt take $30k to flare fenders and get 18x10s. DO IT!
Not sure what brake kit you plan to run, but many out there fit 17s.

thats the plan so far we are starting on body next week then suspension then engine etc.
but i am hella not sure about the tires/wheels/suspension !
if you count those parts up its around $20k and its not complete rebulding engine etc or including labor for some parts i wont be able to do. so $30k is really not a lot to work with

What kind of cage are you getting for $630?...try $6300.
Why don't you just buy one of the many BMW race cars for sell at www.bmwccaclubracing.com? It'll cost a LOT less in the long run and you'll have a car that's actually setup for a class, so it'll have some resale value.

Yeah...you can buy my 330ti with 4 corner coilovers and 300hp for half your budget... I don't have 18" wheels and 14" brakes though...just dual master cylinders and 325 brakes....which work pretty well on a 2450lb car....although it would stop like mad if it had some 355 brakes on there.

My race car (330ti) is naturally aspirated....and it does weight 2450lb with full cage.
It really sounds like you know what your talking about. :rolleyes Good luck building a 300whp NA motor....and with that $630 cage.
