I'm gonna change my SS to RE and while I'm at it I wanna change the fluids. I think there are two that I need to change?

People say use D4 ATF if your car is still underwarranty,

If out of warranty, use MTL

I am currently using D4 ATF

Why the difference if under warranty or not?
