Okay, I know I posed this question in another thread, but didn't quite get the answer I was hoping for. Here it is again...I am currently running 215/45/17 on them right now. My car is lowered and the rear tire tucks a bit under the fender. As it is right now, there is about 1/4" between the Unrolled fender lip and the tire tread. Looking at the tire/rim, the tire is stretched a tiny bit, but it is almost flush with the rim. Can I fit 235/40/17 on there without rubbing or rolling the lip? I think the tread width increase would be about 1/2" from 215's to 235's. I don't know the offset of the rim, but I'm hoping some of you out there may have some experience with this. I gotta order my tires from Tire Rack ASAP. Thanks.

what kind of suspension you got? usually you are able to fit up to 245 on the rear with no problems. i had 245/40/17 all around without rolling the fender and was not rubbing.

When you had the 245/40/17 all around were you using OEM 8.5 wheels?? Did you need spacers in front???

i had the old m5 rims on there. it was the flat five spoke rims if u know which one i'm talking about. i dont know exactly how wide they were but i think they were 17 x 8. didn't need the spacers at all. had bilstein sport shocks with the h&r race springs, also no fender rolling. hope this helped you. if i were u i would do the same. had no problems with that size tire.
