Anyhow, keep in mind that your antenna is a diversity system which uses your defroster grid. There's an antenna tuner/amp box that needs power from the deck to get you any sort of radio reception. So, don't forget to connect the 'remote turn on' lead on the aftermarket pigtail to the 'amp turn on' or 'power antenna' lead off your new deck.
The other smaller cable that runs with the antenna cable was used by the original deck to feed the tuner/amp info on the strength of the signal it was getting, so the tuner/amp could tune in a better signal. It does a decent enough job of getting reception without this, though. Don't worry.
