Hi all, my cylinder head is at the machine shop at the moment so I installed the chain guides for a mock-up for when I start reassembly. However there is an extra dowel and I'm not sure what it is for. I believe the left and right chain guides are installed in their correct spots, does anyone know what it is for? Or if it just hangs out there? I could be overlooking something but i'm not sure.

Also along with this topic, the main reason why im replacing the chains and guides is because I found broken guides in the bottom of my pan, and the dowels that are for the right side chain guide are sort of scuffed, but the guide still clips on. I might keep it on because I don't want to break it trying to remove it. Should I worry about them? 732224732225

Isn't that an oil spray nozzle?

Yes I think you're right, I was researching more yesterday and it showed up as an oil spray nozzle on RealOem. Pretty cool
