My 95's valve cover is in a need of some TLC. Before I take the time to refurb it, I was curious if anyone had tried one of the aluminum options that have popped up recently?
Thanks,
Jason

The one I have seen appears to be OBDII configuration. Oil filter cap is forward, and a single VaNOS configuration.
I believe the coil mounting provision is OBDII.

Agreed..... that said, S52 and S50 valve covers are somewhat interchangeable if you're willing to swap out coil packs. Which I might, if that aluminum option is worth it.

Well, pretty sure the 95 cover is magnesium. so there's that.

Yep it's magnesium. Before I spend a bunch of time refurbing it, I was curious if anyone has a tried the newer aluminum options. Wondering if they are quality or not.

It's not hard. pull it off and have it powder coated. Or just sand prime and paint with hi temp paint. Or, just buy one from a junk yard, refurb it and sell yours. All M50/S50 covers are the same. (US single vanos... blah blah blah...)

Yeah not hard just time consuming. All said, not really the point of this thread.
Looking for anyone that has experience with the aluminum options.

I am also looking for an aluminum solution. All old magnesium covers eventually cause paint failure
