Hey there people, Tried to start the Vert this morning and I get a Crank but no start. (as in the linked video)
I tried the OBD reader, and get no errors at all, very strange there is no error but it won't start.
Checked all the fuses under the Hood. All check ok, Pulled out and re-seated every fuse. Still nothing.
I'm sure someone knows something, I hope so anyway, or Am I calling a Tow Truck and shipping it off to the mechanics?
Thanks In Advance.

test the crank sensor, ~510 ohms.

Do not try starting your car 100x, it will kill the starter and battery. Its cranking pretty slowly, check/charge the battery.

Thanks for that, Off to get under the car and find the Crank Sensor. Looks like it is in an evil position. Batter charger connected now, just in case. Will let you know soon.

Ok, I think I know where it is according to the tube I need a 5mm allen key to remove it. Wish me luck.

From the top its easier but the throttle body has to be disconnected.

Ok, so, I can't even find a mechanic at the moment. Seems they are all booked out in Grafton. So, I'm gonna have to have another go at getting at this thing. So It is disconnecting the Throttle Body to get at it. Tried to find a YouTube video about it, but the 2 I found were not real good. But one sort of gave me an idea how to proceed.
Just as I said though, the OBD Tool shows nothing, wouldn't the faulty sensor show up there?
TIA

and he's one of the best around my town. I did forget there was $180 Towing in that, but still. $180 in Diagnostics, What $180? I plugged in my OBD reader which told me everything was fine. I guess in hind sight it was right. In the old days of my 186 red motor, that would have been first thing to check I guess, You have fuel, you have spark, it goes, simple. There's more wires in the door of this thing than there was in the whole HG Monaro.
