I'm going to be removing my heater core and deleting any unnecessary coolant hoses.

I have watched as many videos I can find but most skip ahead through some of the work

Biggest question...I have an obd2 98 323is

The hardline that comes off the timing cover area..how is it attached at the cover area and what does it attach to
Im sure I'll see when I finally remove intake manifold but trying to prepare ahead of time.

Instead of getting the obd2 to obd1 conversion coolant connector, why couldn't that hard line just be cut and then a coolant hose attached to that?

Conflicting info on if hoses from heater core need to be attached.
Some say engine will run hot if they are connected , some say absolutely they do need connected.

Throttle body hose connection on throttle body itself...do they just get a hose plug on the connectors?

Thanks for any assistance
