Yup... I'm wandering all over the place looking at different engines. Steam, 2-Stroke, American Domestic, Diesel, sometimes confusing. sometimes enlightening. I often wish I had taken mechanical engineering in my youth. I'm slowly climbing the ladder but I trip regularly. You would think building an efficient air pump would be a solved problem and I suspect in "theory" it probably is. It would be nice to understand the theory, the mechanical compromises/limitations, and the choices the engineers who built them made. I expect I need to buy some textbooks rather than looking at videos and forums.
