Has anybody kicked around the idea of going from a zf320z to the getrag? Only due to the zf’s being sold for crack head amounts along with having the normal Detent issue not being fixed as well and the kits usually being out of stock. Other then the drive shaft and guibo, what would need to be changed? Pedal, clutch line, wiring? All I’ve seen was getrag to zf. Not the other way around. (In e39)

You want to spend a lot of $$ to swap to a getrag because... ZF's are expensive? I'm not sure I'm following the logic there.

The shift detents can be fixed, the parts are in stock all over. To prevent it in the future just run ATF in it.

If you are really insistent on doing this (and not sure why you would be) then you would just look at the guides you found on people swapping getrag to ZF, and do the opposite...

You'll need longer and thinner driveshaft, swap out the differential input flange, a new shifter arm, different clutch and flywheel, to end up with a shi**ier tranny. Better put a lease on your a$$ if you want to make a quick buck, or open an OF :rofl
