after seeing all these weird questions, i'm begining to wonder
just how people drive thier cars...for example one kid said he's
never crossed 4k rpm :help

so this is just a poll, a bit of an extreme one, but it should give us
a better idea of the kind of drivers we have here....

ate should be eaten :rolleyes

I hit 6800 at least once a week with the EAT chip. :D :eyecrazy :D
I would guess that most people who post here drive somewhat enthusiastically. :cool

i dont do donuts, but in my mind every road is a track and other cars in light traffic are like cones... i take my car up to redline and it's auto. WOT shifts rule.

heheh yeah that's what i'm talking about!

i rev match on all my downshifts even in traffic, practicing left foot braking
on tight 90degree bends =]

I take my car to 6500 at least 5 times a day, and I love when the light goes red so I can heel toe to stop and test my reaction time to start. :)

first i'd like to say i hit 6800 at least once a day and love every breath taking second of it.

second i'd like to say i do partake in some drifting when the opportunity arises.

third i'd like to say i do throw the E39 ass around in a donut like fashion from time to time.

how about some vids you say? sure thing

Ha that was fantastic!! Man that is some serious rubber eating 528! Must be a stick, right?

I know my auto would not be able to pull a stunt like that.

I love it for the track days though, just gas and brake hehe!

If you had blown a tire, that woulda been ugly!

So what tires will you be buying now? :D

I think that kid be me. But a 1989 Auto and mostly city driving I never see past 4k really. Did I mention it was an auto :help

uh, auto can go over 4k too buddy. look under your gas pedal and there is like a switch under it... it's a kickdown button/switch thing. if you push the pedal down enough to push the switch it will go to redline and shift.... so yeah, it's possible.

i go up to 5-6k everyday =).
my 22 mile freeway commute to school lets me stretch its legs.

I've done donuts in my car before I guess... it was at an autoX though and they called that particular portion of the course a "carousel" ... it was basically a donut though. Sometimes I get a little too aggressive on the street if there is noone around... get on the brakes late and heel-toe downshift... yeah that's pretty fun.

I own a strange driver. The thing is completly illegal. When the fellas and I play thay make me give them 4 strokes. I can hit that damn thing a mile...sometimes the ball even goes straight. :D :D

I thought that was for a NOS switch :D . But between lights I never have to push down that far. Only time it does see over 4k, is when I am heading on the highway, but that jolt between gears gets annoying.

But for the record.....I FLOG mine every day...HARD! Until the rubber is burning!

heheheh flogging ? i guess that's what u could call it. but when some
one uses flog and car it brings to mind negatives for me....
then again, doing donuts does put serious wear on your car hehehe
