I have a 99 E36 M3 and I just got some 18 inch wheels (Privat Kraftwerks) with a 35mm offset. I currently have stock suspension but I plan on eventually doing a moderate drop (eibach prokit.) What size tires should I go with? Should I stay with the staggered 245 rears and 225 fronts or do 235s all around? What sidewalls should I also get front and rear?

By the way, I have already done a search on this but I pull up a ton of topics and none really answer my question. Thanks.

Hey Dave, I just got a set of Hamann HM2's in 18x8.5. I plan on putting on a set of 245/35 Toyo T1s' all around. I should have them mounted up by the middle of this week. You are more than welcome to come check them out when I do.

I went with the 245/35's because they have the closest overall diameter to the factory sizes as well as being able to go with a non staggered setup.

The only difference I see between your setup and mine is that you have a slightly more aggressive offset. My Hamann's have an offset of 38.

Stagger look good with M3!

If you want a staggered setup, you should get wider rims on the rear IMO. It's not about just running wider tires.

245/35 all around sounds to be fine. Hope you don't rub too much on the front when you turn ;)

Sorry I feel retarded :( but what does staggered mean?

Staggered is having different sized tires between the front and back. For example, the 97-99 M3s have 225s in the front and 245s in the rear while I believe the 95s have 235s all around.

95's actually had 225's all the way around from the factory. I think that a lot of the owners chose to go with 235/40's when they replaced the factory rubber.

my 95 M came with 235's all the way around.

what offset and tire width is ideal for a 95 m3 with 18x8.5 lowered on H&R race springs??

im just afraid of rubbing once i purchase rims :(
