Rear window weatherstripping

While doing a rear window regulator replacement, i noticed the weatherstripping is torn and dry rotted. I ordered new ones from BMW (cheaper than some sites believe it or not). How does the trim comes out, just pulling or prying with a plastic tool ? Does the little triangle window has to come out too?

Are you referring to the rear quarter panel fixed window seal ?

You’re supposed to have a glass guy cut the glass out, mount the new gasket into the glass and re glued back on. Placement is critical, once the urethane sets, it is what it is.
