Hey all, this is my first post, so sorry if I am not doing something correctly.
I have an 02 530i (NO NAV / NON DSP) but it does have the BMW OEM amplifier. Years ago the radio was replaced with a Kenwood single din, not my favorite but it works (this will be important later.)
Anyways, beginning with my problem. I want to install an aftermarket 4CH amplifier(s). Doing (1) 4ch for the door speakers (front & rear parcel shelf) themselves, then another 4ch for the tweeters/mids and keep the gain low, so they don’t blow. (This is due to having 3 way components in the front.)
I have just swapped all of the speakers with the “BavSound” upgrade, and am now wanting a little more, as I was doing this one piece at a time - note - bavsound does not replace the “mid” thats apart of the front 3way.
I contacted Bavsound for speaker specs, which they were very short with, and didn’t recommend & threatened to not warranty. They mentioned these being “closed systems” and needing to run speaker wire to each door, and that they are “not aware of a straightforward aftermarket amplified method” Oh well..
So - I constructed an idea that - in my mind - I swear would work. But I am doubting myself, haha.
Here it goes -
SIGNAL
1- Starting from the Kenwood radio, my 4CH RCAS going back to the left rear wall of the trunk (roughly where the old amp is) - for my signal. - This is a FULL range signal from the Kenwood HU.
2- as stated, I will have (2) mini 4CH amps, so I will run Y splitters on my 4ch RCAS to get signal to both 4ch amps - making sure to keep it stereo.
OUTPUT
3- for my amplified output, the idea of tapping into the BMW OEM amplifier outputs, as these go straight to the speakers (I believe) to test this - I will use a 9v battery connected to my multimeter leads before cutting, to pop each channel.
Correct me if I am wrong, but do the wires go from the output on the OEM amp, straight to each factory speaker in each location?
Just hope there won’t be any issue re-using the factory wiring running to all OEM speakers.

WILL this work? Will it not? What issues could I run into? Just wondering how I should successfully do this. Been told “no” and “that won’t work” at every corner. Sure, the simple answer is to run my own speaker wire to each door. But I was wanting another method.
thanks so much everyone
