bmw e36 1998 compact SRS

Hi!

So the Airbag light is on in the bmw, and I'm trying to reset it with Inpa. The car's original diagnostics plug doesn't work, so I'm trying to reset the fault code directly from the Airbag module, using the previous owner's instructions (succeeded previously).


So I use a 20-pin adapter.


In pin number 20 I put the wire coming from the Airbag module, which is white and purple.


I supply power to pins 19 and 14 from a separate battery.


Inpa reports: no response from control unit. I've also tried Delphi, doesn't work.

another BMW's error codes have been set on this Inpa/computer, but not the SRS.

What could I try? Thanks for the help!

Can you be sure that the airbag module is powered up and working?

If you can read EWS with INPA, you can read airbag normally. They are both on the same K-Line.

I measured that the Airbag module is getting power.


I haven't been able to read anything because the obd port doesn't work. Now I'm just trying to quickly reset the Airbag light only.
