07 e90 Violent driveshaft knock

Hello, 07 E90 323i Today i was sitting at idle when i heard a knock from under the arm rest area and the idle fluxuated.. shortly after i was driving home and when turning i got a violent knocking sound from the same area.. sounded like the driveshaft was contacting the floor.. it stopped when i took the car out of gear.. then driving casually it would happen again for a second or 2.. Anyone familiar with this maybe a bad guibo or something?
