Hello,
I recently bought a "super ICOM pro". ISTA+ is working with my E34, but not completely. It's only seeing a few of the computers. I can't get it to see the other modules, like the alarm system, body electronics, etc. Does anyone have any ideas? Are there any settings I need to change for an older car like mine?
Here's a screenshot of what I get when I do the "brief scan", which checks all available modules.

Thanks for any help!

Any ideas here? Does anyone have experience with getting all the readings from '90s cars with an ICOM?

Is it a genuine dealer ICOM?

Nope, it's the "super ICOM Pro", which seems to be the latest option that claims to solve previous issues with non-BMW versions.

So it's a Chinese invention?
I've never heard of a super ICOM Pro, this may be a bit hard to figure out whether it's the interface or what else.
Of the Chinese clones, the best one was the clone ICOM A2, the version that came with some sort of heatsink adapted to it. Those worked relatively better than all the other sketchy ICOMs.

On the other hand, ISTA isn't really ideal for old E34, although it does work. It may simply be a limitation of the software since it's not really made for the old models.

OK, thanks. I was hoping there might be some communication settings or something that need some tweaking for older cars. It definitely connects nicely to the modules in the screenshot and I can see live data and all that. But I'm targeting some more obscure stuff (notably whatever is causing the alarm system to randomly trigger when the car is parked).
