Hey y'all, I recently bought a 1994 325is mtechnic and the door panels need some love, they aren't too bad its mostly the drivers side. I was just going to try and fix the original material for now and maybe get new door cards later down the road but I stumbled across something on ebay and wanted to see what you guys think?

I have an mtech and got my door panels repaired last winter at a shop in Rye, NH called Turner Upholstery located at 1020 Washington St. Rye NH 603-964-4406.
Owner Steve Turner runs a small high quality shop and has a lot of experience in repairing E36 door panels. My car has the Hurricane Cloth panels and all of the pieces had separated and coming apart. Steve reglued the pieces, reattached the vinyl in the door pockets, and refoamed the cloth. They look great and I am very pleased with the work they did.

How much did it cost you?

The listing has ended. The link says that the item is closed.

Your car is a '94, so the thing to understand is that there was a facelift that happened in '96 (I think), and the question is whether the facelift made it as far as the doors. Use realoem and look for the doors for your car, they do a cross reference to see if the doors go to the year of the donor vehicle. I would expect that if the doors are the same, the door cards should fit across all of the years. One thing that you will find is that at some point the door cars started having air bags that your car does not support. If the cards you get have the air bag covers, then it should be easy enough to put the cards in your car.

Personally, I think you would find greater -- more immediate -- joy at an upholstery shop in your town. You're looking for used parts that are 30 years old, and also in better condition than what you already have.
