Look at the top of the seat back where the headrest posts enter. There is a release button there which engages notches on the headrest posts to keep them at a certain height. Press that button inward to release the catch, and lower the headrest to the desired position.

If it helps, there is a diagram and instructions in the Owner's Manual under the section titled "Seat Adjustment," and/or "Head Restraints." In the US version, it's on page 32. If you don't see it there, it should be listed in the index.

It's worth noting also that for maximum effect and safety, a headrest should be centered as closely as possible with your head. The easy way to do this is to look in the mirror (rear-view or visor flip-down), and position the headrest so your ears are as level as possible with the center of the headrest.

Good luck,
DW

You're quite welcome, glad to be of help!

As for the manual, you're not entirely out of luck on that count. Complete '02, '03, and '04 Owner's manuals are available as PDF files from www.motoringfile.com/ Scroll down the main page a bit, and look on the right hand side for the section marked "Files." The links are right there in orange type.

Enjoy, and Happy Motoring! :wave
