Sourcing parts for manual swap. Have a 1997 328, but using trans, linkage etc from a 1994 325. Do I buy parts like clutch master, hoses etc for the 1997 or 1994? There are different part numbers for some of the partd

Probably should have asked what oil to put in my car. Would have had better luck

There isnt enough information to give you an answer. use RealOEM and itll save you time and questions. Not to mention there are 1 million threads on this.

Right. And I wouldn't believe what one poster might say anyway. That person may not know about my exact situation. Research Realoem and aftermarket parts to see which are the same between years. Read some swap threads to get an idea of the problems you face.

You can use either clutch master and slave from obd1 or obd11 cars as long as they match the pedal assembly. There's older style clutch masters and newer styles, which have different attachments to the master.
As far as linkage, an e36 shift linkage is an e36 shift linkage, the differences are the shift lever and the rod from the shift lever to the trans selector end. The selector rod for obd2 cars is the same as obd1 cars except it has a bend in it to clear larger flex disc's of obd2 cars. But in an obd1 car either will work exactly the same.

But.. if you wanted to keep things simple, just get everything for 94, it will help if anything fails later and you can avoid guessing what is what.

Appreciate the responses. Opted to go with the chase bays flexible single hydraulic line instead of the 2 piece hardline.
