Hey Utahns, what car should I get?

I am looking to get another car within a month or so for my wife. I need something that I will enjoy too. I have looked at A4s because I like the AWD and they are pretty reasonable. I have also looked at GTI VR6, but I don't think I'll go that route because I like the 4 doors idea.

So, what other cars should I consider? And no Ben, I am not going to buy another M3 so don't even offer your Byzanz. :D

Audi quattro: awesome :cool ...............Audi: not so awesome :nono . I have two friends that have both owned Audi's (A4) and they still talk up my 2 bimmers over there's. There is just to many random recalls and problems the Audi's have especially in that price range!!! Also they don't hold their value very well. If your going Bimmer and four door, go with a 328i; always sporty and fun to drive, and you know the cars. You can even find a great five serious for that price, if you look hard enough probably a 540!!!! As far as the all wheel for winter, throw some Bridgestone Blizzaks on that baby and you'll be smooth sailing...........................keep it in the family :D

you can only get the blue and black interior on the Nogaro blue models with the sports package. The two tone on the black ones is black/silver. and that's the interior it better have. It's sooo sick.

I'm going to test a WRX right now, but I am really leaning on getting an A4.

Anyway, at least I am not a sell out like Ben. Just kidding, Ben.

B5 A4's do have some issues. But so does every other car. Turbo w/ quattro is a nice set up and there are many out there who swear by it. Since this is for your wife lets talk practicality. 4 doors, front wheel based quattro system, fairly efficient economy w/ 1.8T, nice interior (designed for women by the way), decent trunk space, solid german engineering. Driving on the shoulder though inches of snow on all seasons past Vail totally sold me on quattro. Other cars on the highway including 4wd trucks were all over the place, while I just cruised along. There are con's ofcourse. The thought of any kind of turbo makes some nervous of blow ups and up keep. The B5 control arm and front susp. assembly design isnt the best. I'm sure you'll do research, ask around/search on B5 A4 forum on audiworld. John Stahmann & Mark Frank on the Rock Mtn region board are quite knowledgable and are Utahns. With the new B6s, B5s are becoming very reasonable........ Good luck

Oh no no no....I love women, trust me! There is nothing wrong with it all. I guess if there was some type of official statement from Audi that this was truly true, it "COULD" affect my thinking. Not that I would mind it, but if it was specifically designed for women, wouldn't it make me feel somewhat akward driving it? :dunno Did I dig my self in deeper....? :help

I guess it would kinda be like a dress/skirt. Im not Scottish so I typically do not wear them (not even on the weekends :D ). And they are specifically made for women. It would make me feel akward wearing one. (even if I was really drunk :D )

Sorry, I should have been more specific.... The interior wasn't designed totally to cater to women, but was to appeal more than the other 2 german makes. I'm sure most have seen the insides of an A4 at least in passing, compared to the same era E36 and C-class you have to agree its a different direction in design. This was taken even further w/ the new B6 where they had female designers and potential customers come in and test early mock ups. Not "official" by any means but read this in an interview/article, on audiworld when the B6 came out. From the comments on this forum good thing I am confidenty enuf in my masculinity to have bought one. :stickoutt
