Hello all,

'98 323CI in the midst of disassembly to replace its subframe bushings. While checking things out after removing the heat shield I noticed the insulation that goes between the driveshaft and underbody has come loose and is rubbing on the driveshaft (and from the looks of it has been this way for a while).

While I was under there I didn't notice any obvious retaining clips or tabs missing - does anyone know what I should be looking for or the best way to get the insulation re-affixed to the underbody?

Thanks in advance,

Chuck

Also, another question if you have a sec, looking at my tranny, what would you say is leaking?

oil leak: clean all there with brake cleaner, drive some days and check where it comes from, maybe the output shaft seal
