Hey I own a 1993 e36 320i and my cluster stopped working the other day. When it stopped working my car didn’t start till I jump started it as it had been sitting for a couple days while I installed the coilovers. I have also checked all the fuses and they’re fine. The display lights come on but none of the gauges work as well as the little service/odometer screen thing isn’t working either. Just looking to get an idea of what could need fixing and what to look for.
Thanks,
Jay

Hey sorry for taking so long to reply. I have checked and all the plugs in the back of the cluster appear to be fine and connected. I couldn’t see any obvious damaged wiring or anything either.

Personally don't know why the older e36 clusters fail but I would suggest to fully charge your battery and head over to a parts store that can test the battery to see if its good.
If you use the search feature select single content search and select the e36 subforum search for 'cluster'.
