Can anyone figure out this noise ?

Hi guys,

I posted the video on youtube so you could hear what I'm talking about. If anyone has an idea, please let me know.

I'm not sure if it has anything to do with Vanos or something else related, possibly cam chain ??. Only occurs when the revs die down at the very low end of the revs.

Car starts and runs fine, but this noise has pretty much always been there since day one of ownership and it has always intrigue me. I've owned the car nearly 14 years.
It is currently showing 99 thousand kilmetres on the ODO with an impeccable service history and correct oil always used. Vanos filter always gets checked and it's pristine. No sludge ever.

Sounds like common vanos noises

So vanos does make some noise even when it's good you mean ? I haven't heard another one to be able to compare it too and you tube videos are hard to make out sometimes.
So, I'm wondering if I ever get the VANOS overhauled with the better, more modern seals etc, do you think it will make any noise at all, or will it cure ALL the noise ??
