Frustrated trying to solve problem that won’t let me pass emissions test. 2011 BMW 335i Xdrive e90 N55 Turbo. Problem started with CEL and rough idle only on cold start. After warming, it ran normal and idled normal (600pm). An independent garage read codes 2d60, 2C58, 2E0F and DTC P13CP and replaced replaced the exhaust vanos solenoid and relearned the valvetronic motor. That took care of the 2E0F code but 2D60 and 2C58 return after any cold start. Indy recommended I take it to BMW to see if vanos recall had been done (it had) as their next step would be to replace or calibrate? the Vanos and would be well over $4,000 to do that. In the interim before I took it to BMW, I noted limp mode and increasing louder engine noise on acceleration. BMW found broken charge pipe and said they had to order it from Germany. Also found leaking oil filter housing. I took it home and 4 weeks later, still no part. After reading how easy both issues were to fix, I ordered metal pipe, and changed it myself ensuring the 0-ring on throttle body was installed correctly. Also replaced oil filter gasket and filter housing cap ensuring cap had o-rings and center post. Also changed plugs and coils while I was at it. Still getting 2d60 2C58 on cold start only. Once warmed up, I can clear the codes and they don’t return until the next cold start. Turbo boost works perfectly (actually better than before it seems). I am out of ideas. I guess it could be possible the indy garage got a bad vanos solenoid or changed the wrong one. Looking at them without going to the trouble of removing them, they both have BMW part numbers. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. thanks
