Need help on auto tranny fluid type

My wife has a 2010 328i Xdrive with production date of 12/09.

We are about to do a tranny oil and filter change. I need to know if someone can help me with what type of tranny oil to use. With limited research, it looks like I need Dexron VI. I am basing this on the metal oil pan, not plastic.

Can anyone help?

You should be able to download something from BMW, otherwise, and when I get to my home computer, I've give you access to my 2011 manual, which I downloaded.

You can do a google search on BMW trans fluid. Your trans is probably GM.
