2006 330i Wipers work, but washer does not. I took it apart to replace the pump at the reservior, but the old one is just fine. I tested both old and new with 12v, and they work: water sprays out (separate issue below). I believe it's fuse #43. I checked both possible locations for #43, and both have good fuses in them. So now what?

Separate issue? When I ran 12v to the pump, water only sprayed out at the p.s. headlight washer, not the d.s. headlight washer or either of the windshield washers. I guess that's a piping problem that I'll look at after I get the washer pump running from the steering columnn stalk.

Question: Do the headlight washers always come on with the windshieid washers?

Any help is appreciated.

Rather odd indeed. If you have the headlight washing system that came with the cold weather package, then they only activate when you have the headlights on and you pull the stalk for wash. IIRC there's a 5-10 minute cool down that has to occur before it will activate with the stalk.

Check for power at the harness itself for both pumps, you may have a switch issue here.

If you can make the washer pump work by supplying 12 volts directly, then the only thing remaining is the switch on the steering column stalk, or the fuse(s).

I don't like to hear that. I saw a video on getting the stalk. It's harder than pulling the engine.
