Basic/minimal upgraded 2011 E92 SULEV(N51 motor)
Current battery is a Dealer installed BMW branded/Logo, 720CCA 90ah standard flooded lead acid. 5years old.
Question:
Will/Can, the Battery in the foto be a direct replacement? Size wise?
And if so, after using the BimmerLink app to register it, should/will it behave properly ? This AGM Battery is 900CCA 92ah.

I would think that it would be just fine, but as you live in a warm area, you really don't need the extra CCA's that the newer battery will have. Also I think there is a different charging plan for AGM batteries vers the standard lead acid, so I wonder if your app can do so.

Well that was an easy install. Hardest part of the job was dealing with the 20,000 incompetent and bizarre drivers between myself and Walmart for pickup and core drop-off.
Just under an hour to R & R, including BimmerCode to select 90ah(no 95ah option) AGM and BimmerLink to register.
I used a little safety-wire from my B52 Crew Chief days to tie back every cable and the Battery popped out/in with ease. A perfect fit. Watching every YouTube video helped to straighten out the learning curve. Afterwards, there weren’t any strange lights/warnings in the dash and it drove without any issues. About $180 total price.
Anyone have any gotchas to look out for?

I used and O'Reilley's 90ah AGM and my Autel Pro to register my new battery, plus I used the dash button procedure as shown on Youtube. I've noticed that my start button and parking gear marker are not going to sleep, just staying on constantly. My daughter drove the car for three weeks and it wouldn't start. After charging the new battery, I ran a scan and found a fault for the ground IBS not working. So essentially, with her phone and gadgets plugged in, she was draining the battery and alternator was not putting out enough current to keep battery charged. A test at battery with car on shows 13.5 amp output. I've ordered a new ground cable IBS and connector to see if that corrects the problem. Other than that, it's my 3rd non BMW battery. 06 -325I- 130,000 miles.

I just noticed this the other night. Not sure how long the light stays illuminated, but it eventually goes out.
I’m not familiar with a “Dash Button” procedure. I used the BimmerCode then BimmerLink Apps, and that’s all.

I replaced the AGM battery in my 2008 328i at 289,000. That is about 13-14 years. I can't complaint about the way these cars handle batteries. The battery was finally killed when the alternator regulator failed in a "charge all the time" mode and cooked the battery at 18 volts. I replaced the regulator and battery and it is still going strong.
