Took the car for a drive today after a recent oil change. Did a quick highway pull in Mexico rowing through gears 2-4. Engine has about 45 miles on it post rebuild.

Thanks dude! Car is a beast lol

I kinda gave up after m3forum took a shit. I'm still bitter about losing three years worth of build work there. I'm just throwing shit up on IG these days, way easier and I'm sure Facebook won't go down anytime soon.

Keep the info here instagram/Facebook is trash. Harder to keep track of things . Way better community here for the most part.

I agree. Facebook's algorithms mean it gives you what it thinks would make you click the most vs what would actually help the most / be the most relevant. I can never find anything there.

At least here it's both searchable (including by author and via Google) and organized.

sounds great... S54 is the dream!

I also hate FB for actual documentation of information and in general using my mobile for that. Much prefer forum format.

So, a buddy has an S54 swapped E36 and I got to hear his car with the Vibrant ultra quiet and it was nice. It's not too raspy, loud or booming but when you romp on it, you can really hear the car. My car right now still sees the street sometimes, so I didn't want to deal with my neighbors either, so I went with that set-up. Also, people will buy the 3" resonator that comes with the Bimmerworld kit (I sold mine on eBay for $120 shipped) so you can take the straight pipe and use that with the v-bands to weld onto your Vibrant ultra quiet resonator.

I've read that the y-pipe robs power, but my friend with the same set-up didn't see any loss of power with this set-up so I decided to just go with something easy and off the shelf.

I also agree with everyone that Facebook is a shitty place to store useful information. I'm just too lazy, impatient or whatever to spend the energy again to start and maintain another build thread.

Congrats dude. I have followed your build for some time, nice to finally see the s54 in there. You will certainly enjoy the extra revs (and power). What diff ratio are you running?

Thanks man, looking forward it!

I have 3.73 three disc which seems to work well so far with the higher RPMs.
