Stock Airbox Question

I just had my car repaired but the damn mechanic lost the snorkell that goes in front of the stock airbox. Will that mess up my car in any way?

Actualy i have one of the guys here in the forrums selling me an ecis cai, but i have to save up some cash first thanks to the hurricane. in the meantime, my car is my daily driver.

It's just an air duct. All that duct does is what you would guess, it directs air into the airbox. A lot of people intentionally take it out AND the baffle for better air flow.
