Little bit of a loaded question but I have a M50B25 NV from a 92 325 that I am swapping into a 97 M3 until I have an option to pick up an S52. I also have a ZF 5 speed. I know the ZF can hook up to the M50 but I’ve been having troubles finding all the information I need. I’m wondering what driveshaft would work in this! I’m assuming I can just get a driveshaft meant for the M3 originally but I want to make sure before I go blowing money on something I can’t return. I’ll be getting a 3.15 LSD differential and I have the option to either make it 4 bolt or 6 bolt but I’m unsure what I should do from here. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks! Bear in mind this is my first BMW swap etc so I know very little.

The Zf is the same as in the M3, so the driveshaft is the same (same as the 328i as well). Just be aware that there are 4 U-joint bolt and 6 bolt CV type Diff input flanges, so match the driveshaft to that.

You might be leaving something out.

You have an M3, you have an M50.

Why are you shopping for a diff, driveshaft, etc? Are you missing those parts? Are you just assuming you need to swap them? What do you have on hand already?
