Veteran Member trying to reunite with 20 year old Dakar M3😋

Hello all, long time member coming back to the forums. I’m trying to locate my long lost 99 Dakar Yellow M3. I bought the car in 2003 and had some amazing memories and awesome mods done to it. Tracked it and really enjoyed it. It was sold in 2007 and from there on I lost in touch with it. I found it maybe 10 years ago in NJ and should have tried to rebuy it but financially I couldn’t do it. Now that I’ve moved a few times and am settled in Colorado for now I would love to see who owns it or if it’s still even on the road.

If anyone has the capability to run a VIN check or car fax for me or has some DMV connections I would love to be able to track it down!

Have you tried the VINwiki app? People post their cars and history, some will list previously owned VIN's.

Carfax will tell you where the car is, will show date and location of last inspection, registration

I posted a thread on an e36 M forum on Facebook and someone said that it was reported "STOLLEN" however they never were able to show the full Carfax.

That is totally it I think.... Although it looks like the new owner swapped out the painted trip for original black trim, and painted the grill. I would Love to link up with the person who owns it.... Lean how she's been all these years!

other stuff .. condor shift knob, renown wheel, rear seat delete, removed tints, kenwood radio, black moldings, cf grille. pictures from this week.

The Condor shift knob looks good, I might consider one to replace the ZHP.
