Bmw star tyes, insurance and warranty

Hi,

Apologies if this topic has been discussed before.

What are your views on insurance and BMW star tyres, can insurance or bmw used car warranty cause an issue if you have non star tyres?

Has anyone had any issues in the past?

For the benefit of those of us living in the colonies, what is a "star tyre"?

We (those of us in the colonies) are not burdened by by this.

As I see the issue, BMW will only replace the bad tire. Most of the time tires need to be replaced in pairs.
