Do the 4.6is M62B46 pistons fit a 1997 Alpina B10 4.6 F3 (pre-vanos)?

According to Alpina, the F3 4.6 M62 engine has Mahle pistons with a diameter of 92.985mm.
They cost $900,- each.
The rings are not sold separately.

The M62(TU)B46 piston have a diameter of 92.98mm.
But the rings are thinner than the Alpina rings so you can't mix the BMW rings with the Alpina pistons :(

Does anybody know if the pistons from the BMW M62(TU)B46 fit the Alpina conrod and bore?

0.005mm is 0.0002", as far as piston to wall clearance goes a difference that small is negligible.

So that's one box ticked.
Then the height between the wrist pin and the top of the piston is next i guess.
