Hi,
need to install new/different battery in my 2007 335i. i.e. from 720CCA lead/acid to 900CCA AGM
I am looking for a standalone tool. Still have a Flip Phone so no wifi or bluetooth capability :nono
I contacted some manufacturers but have not received clear answer.
Been looking at AUTOPHIX 7910 (app. $ 129.00) and Foxwell NT530
(app. $ 189.00).

Has anybody used one of those or a similar product to register and code a different battery?
Please advise.

thx
bernhard

ethos,
I just checked it out and it seems the Ncsexpert tool32 is software. I am looking for a standalone tool/scanner.

Custom changes like that generally require powerful software (which comes from BMW). Or really expensive tools, which copy the BMW software mentioned above.

In cases like this, the easiest may be to have a local come and do that specific coding and battery registration correctly real quick.

Thx for your response 328 Power. I'll try to find somebody local to get the new battery coded. In the future I should be able to replace the battery with the same specs and be able to use a Foxwell.
I just received a response from Foxwell stating that none of their devices can do coding.
