Performance chips

So I've had a performance chip in my ECU/DME for around 7-8 months now, and because of a rough idle and some other issues i chose to try to switch back to the original chip today. Only to find that the car won't start anymore.

It cranks, but won't start, and after holding the starter for around 5-10 seconds a loud whining/whirring sounds comes on. The sound eventually stops, and it sounds like something spinning is losing momentum and slowly stops spinning.

Tried swapping back to performance chip, same issue..




Any ideas? I was very careful with the chips when swapping and battery was of course disconnected.
