View Full Version : 2007 BMW 335i gear indicator on console not working

​I am having an issue with the shift indicator on the console. It is not lighting up to show if the car is park, neutral, drive, reverse. I have no idea what's causing this or even if this is really an issue. Can something in the console be loose or fried? Or is this the way it functions normally?
I recently had the auxiliary jack replaced by a dealer. They needed to get into the console to replace the jack. Now I noticed there is no shift indictor. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If the aux work was done recently I would take it back and have them check it

If the display on the console does not work, then there are two possibilities, they unplugged it when putting in the Aux Port, or the lamp has burnt out or fallen out and the display is dark because of this.
