View Full Version : woohoo, just put on my eibach sways!
man, i just put on the sways tonite and it's a very good upgrade. it took my friend and i about 1.5 hrs for the fronts and the back. we didn't even drop the exhaust. i set it soft/soft at first to see how the car will drive. after 5 minutes driving i can definitely feel less understeer. i can take sharp corners and then the rear feels like it wants to step out ever so slightly. not too bad. i'll keep this setting for a few days to see if i need to adjust it more. thanks to all the guys that helped me with out (eclou,frayed,bimmer95,kos-motate139). i can't wait for the auto-x this weekend.

BJ, 1.5 hours has to be a new record. Be sure to get the reinforcement plates welded on ASAP. Try a muffler shop.

eugene, 1.5 hrs was pretty quick. both of us were using our own sets of tools and an air compressor so it went quickly. it's also a plus that we both work on our cars. (he's got a twin turbo z that he's always working on.) i just ordered the turner reinforcement plates, do you remember how much it was to weld on?

set at soft/soft, how did it affect body roll?
body roll is not too bad, but i haven't pushed it very hard yet. i will when i auto-x. i didn't notice the roll b/c i was focusing on the decreased amount of understeer.

Sayther's shop welded them on Mel's racecar. May want to give them a call to at least get a quote.
