2008 BMW 330d cold rough idle

every morning when i start the car i have a rough idle where the car is also jerking - is there a known cause/solution to this?

I have a lot of diesel experience but not bmw. Sounds like a bad glow plug.

Is it only when cold....does it smooth out as it warms up? Is it worse the colder it is?
This happened to me and I replaced the glow plug controller unit. Took a chance I suppose, but it fixed it.
