Occasionally my 2013 F30 has a drive train warning stating to stop car and call roadside assistance. For several minutes the car won't start. Is there some procedure to correct this issue? Is transmission failing? After waiting for some time the car starts and drives normally.

Welcome to the Forum!
These cars are rolling computers, you will need to get it scanned for there can be many different things turning that lamp on.

You must scan it and read the fault codes. Your car is capable of telling you what is wrong. Anything else is just a guess.
