Having a strange error. I'm trying to code the AUX cable option on my 2006 530i. Following some instructions online but I'm not getting very far.
I have a Win7 laptop with a suite of BMW tools including INPA and NCSExpert. I have a clear white USB OBD cable with a 2006> and <2007 switch. I have the switch set to 2006.
When I open up INPA I'm able to see the car and access the ECM and read codes so I believe the cable is working properly.
When I go to NCS Expert I'm able to read the vin, but when I select F3 ZCS/FA.ECU = e60 -> CAS the VIN comes up, but I get a CAS error.
FA-Fehler
COAPI-2000: Error in EDIABAS or in ECU Description File (SGBD) BIP-001: Out of Range
COAPI-2000: Error in EDIABAS or in ECU Description File (SGBD) BIP-001: FA_READ
COAPI-2000: Error in EDIABAS or in ECU Description File (SGBD) BIP-001: FA_READ: A_E65CAS
I have selected E60 as the chassis first before starting this process.
What's strange is that I'm also unable to get into the CAS system from INPA I get an error as well.
Any ideas? I'd really like to install my AVIN unit but I have to code the AUX first :(
