I have another cluster I think I recall I can just pull the coding plug from this one and transfer the mileage information over correct? Thanks

in case the cluster has the same color backplate and the same tank size, then you can transfer the coding plug. This failure could be a problem of a stuck push pin or corroded contacts under the pin in front of the cluster, pull that and check. The push button has at the bottom a cap, clean that too. here a good video with detailed instructions how to replace and what to use https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3MjNCDxD48

Great information. Thanks... It (Normal Function) came back after a little while so if it happens again I will dig into it and clean things up.

I have this same prob intermittently. I just live with it for now also but I do plan on addressing it at some point.

Hmm .. so that's why I couldn't reschedule the run. I have not checked the clusters before transferring mileage. It turns out they were of different colors, apparently because of this I did not succeed. Okay, I'll try to fix this problem within a week. Hope this helps, since I really haven't been able to solve this problem for a very long time. I've tried a huge number of ways from various forums, but nothing seems to work. I even replaced some parts, the capacitor was especially difficult to replace, which I eventually purchased from https://www.hv-caps.com/products/HVC-Capacitor-Screw-Terminal-Mounting.html. If it's all about the color of the back roof, then I'll really be glad if it helps me. Thanks in advance!
