Hey ya’ll. I’m about at the end of my rope.i have a 2003 BMW Z4 2.5l. I’ve installed about 5 different versions of bmw standard tools from different sources. I’ve used 3 cables, all of them either permanently bridge (7 &8 pin) and this last one with the switch. All had continuity. Ediabas is set to std:OBD. Properties for the cable are set to com 1 and latency to 1. FTDI drivers are installed. I am running windows x pro 32bit on a MacBook Pro with parallels software. I’ve been able to use parallels a couple years back with my e36 and it worked perfect. I just don’t know what to do anymore. Ignition and battery is on but I cannot connect to all modules. Everywhere online EVERYBODY claims bridging the 7 & 8 was all they had to do. Or a new cable solved the problem. This is my third cable. And they weren’t cheap ones. I highly doubt all of them were bad. I appreciate anybody’s input. Thanks!!

Hi. Thanks for the reply.
It can communicate with:
- Dynamic stability control
- Motor
- Convertible top module
- Light check module
- Rain-light sensor
- Electronic vehicle immobilization III
- Steering angle sensor
- Central body electronics 1 or 3 basic modules
- instrument cluster
- air conditioning panel
- seat module
Those are it.

Doesn't that kind of sound like all the modules equipped on your car? I wouldn't know without seeing the car itself, but it sounds like it.
Are you looking for another specific module?
What troubles does the car have?

I agree, it does. But i have a power steering light/ failure, and an airbag light coming on. I can't access either of those modules. I get the ifh-9000 for either of those.

It's not your setup nor the cable, since you are talking to most modules.
I think it's the car's modules that have issues and aren't online.

you know, that makes complete sense. Apparently it's a common issue not being able to connect to the power steering module when it is faulty. I've checked all the fuses, and they all are ok. I'll start with replacing the EPS and keep working my way down.
Thank you so much man.
