Tire squeal and breaking loose point

Is there a relation between the squeal of a tire and it's breaking loose point? My Yoko Avs 100s are pretty loud when I take exit ramps at a fast clip, but I don't want to push it too much w/o my having a good feel for the tires yet (had them for about 2 months now).

IMHO, if your tires are squealing on the street, you're going too fast. Street tires will generally start to squeal as they approach the limit, get a bit louder as they start to lose overall grip, then shudder as they skip across the pavement when they lose most of their grip. The sound/amount of squeal will depend on the tire. I would find a nice parking lot and practice, or better yet, try some autocross.

Make sure your tire pressures are up to spec, either too much or not enough will both decrease grip and make them squeal sooner.
