I have a 2009 bmw 328xi with 71k miles. A few days ago I pulled the car out to take the lawnmower out of the garage and then after an hour or so, I start my car and right when I start it the cooling fan turns on full speed. It was 62 degrees outside and A/C wasn’t on. I scan the car for codes after ordering a scanner off amazon and I get fault code ZEE6. Does this mean my water pump is going bad?

What scanner are you using? What does the code mean? The fan running continuously doesn’t mean your electric water pump (bad idea, BMW) is bad, necessarily. Your fan could be bad.
The electric fan (efan) gets 12VDC at all times. It has a ground at all times. It’s controlled by the engine computer (DME in BMWspeak) via the small 3rd wire in the connector at the efan. The control signals are called pulse wave modulation (PWM). Now, if the efan is running with the engine off the likely culprit is the efan controller on the efan itself. The controller uses the the PWM signals to manage the efan’s speed.

A failing water pump is the most likely cause of a fan running at full speed. But I don't know what kind of code reader you are using, or what that code means.
