I have a stock euro "S50B30" E36 M3 that i would like to tune up to 500+/600 WHP. I am not sure whether to turbocharge or supercharge the engine. In my country, it is illegal to use forced induction so turbo would be very loud. So i am thinking of a supercharger. I am aware i am abit late to the E36 party but i am using this motor as a platform to build up on my engine building and tuning knowledge..:)

I am looking to do these mods:
1) Piston compression ratio: 8.5:1

2) Should I port the stock "B30" cylinder head to make it as close to the B32? What do I tell my machine shop? would it render the stock B30 ITBs useless?

3) What timing camshafts is needed for forced induction? would i need to switch both intake and exhaust or just intake

4) Walbro 255 fuel pump?

5) Con rod: what do you suggest would match the new pistons? the ones from PPF? i found this website selling p cheap forged rods: https:/www.maxpeedingrods.com/BMW-3-Series-E36-M3-3.0L-S50B30-142mm-Connecting-Rod-High-Performance-4340-EN24-H-Beam-Conrod.html (http://https://www.maxpeedingrods.com/BMW-3-Series-E36-M3-3.0L-S50B30-142mm-Connecting-Rod-High-Performance-4340-EN24-H-Beam-Conrod.html)

6) which head gasket? will the stock one do?

7) is there a vanos limiter that I would need to take care of for the single vanos unit on this engine?

8) which aftermarket ECU?

9) are stiffer valve springs required?

10) which fuel injectors? 650cc sufficient?

11) should i keep to stock sized supertech intake and exhaust valves?

Lastly,

12) what supercharger (or turbo)? Supercharger: im thinking of the rotrex C38-81

i know there are wayyy more components but i wanted to get the big ticket items out of the way first. I welcome and appreciate any ideas to improve or correct my build. look forward to hearing from all of your combined experiences!!

I would post this in the forced induction section. Many e36 turbo builds in there...
