Ever since ive owned the car, I have never been able to manually lock/unlock my door. But, the remote can lock/unlock. Starting the car is no issue either. Is there possibly something wrong with the door lock cylinder? On another note, at some point, in the past, the car had been tboned... In the back if my mind, I'm thinking the door was swapped without changing out the guts. Is it possible that the lock cylinder is not coded to this car?

Does the key work in the glovebox and trunk?

It does work for the glove box too. But as for the trunk, it's a touring, so no key access.

I can’t remember if the door modules need coding? Maybe they do?

Have you had it since new? If not, what kind of timeframe are we talking about here?
Does the key physically turn inside the lock? Does it turn a full 90*?

I got the similar issue with my key, it is either key blade worn or door key cylinder worn or both. I have to wiggle the key to get it turned, however, no issue turning the ignition cylinder. Good thing is remote locking/unlocking works so I don't have to use the key to open the door, I also got 2 additional master keys that I bought from eBay and got them cut and programed myself.

I think there is some info in the manual about this, but if my memory is working, the first 45* of rotation activates the electronic part of locking/unlocking. Then turning 90* manually opens the lock (like the old days). However, it sounds like you're able to get at least the 45* part, but that's not working like it should. I was just curious if it was physically turning, at all.
